This Palmer Johnson's Stunning NEW 150 concept yachts was design by Nuvolari & Lenard, Palmer Johnsons'. Commissioned by a current PJ 120’ owner, the new 150’ turns up the excitement with a super-sleek raised pilothouse superyacht that has masterfully fused fashion and function. The chic new 150’ has some super-slick ideas too, like a flybridge that features a glass atrium roof panel that slides fore & aft. You can choose to cruise in sun or in shade! Other clever concealments include a custom swim platform with a self-deploying ladder and a hydraulically powered tender garage. The 150’ will be constructed with an aluminum hull and a combination FRP/Aluminum superstructure to keep the weight down and the speed up. To ensure this, the new 150’ is powered by a pair of MTU 16V4000 DDEC marine diesels rated at 3,650 hp. These mega-plants will spin ZF 4-5 blade props @2100 rpm’s, located in tunnel pockets that are recessed into a fully planning hull. Although performance details aren’t available yet, its aerodynamically correct design should make this new yacht as fast as it looks.
