The Best Of Spring/Summer 2012 Shoes Collection












The 2012 Spring /Summer shoe frenzy looks promising for heels and mules. Top-end designers like Canadian Jerome C. Rousseau reiterates once again that when it comes to shoes, heels signify fashion! This “well heeled” concept seems to be the mantra for most design house this season including top stylists Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Gaetano Perrone, Prada and D&G. The other innovations come from Stuart Weitzman and his range of satin or suede dress shoes, boots and booties.

Following the trend is Burberry with its woven leather platform boots this Spring/Summer 2012. At a range close to $1,600, this woven leather and raffia ankle boots with high wedges adds to the aura of bohemian dressing for city slickers. The platform boots comprises of intricately woven leather design with leather lacing at the ankle and peep-toe feature. The Burberry logo is embossed on the metal zip-pull.

The Australian, limited edition Whooga ugg boots is set to pre-empt competition by unfurling its extravagant tailor-made couture ugg boot. With a production limit of 500 pairs, the sales pitch tries to render “appeal” to the boot’s image by hand-delivering it. The hand-delivery is accompanied by a foot massage and not to miss - dark truffle chocolates! The boot is also set to be named via a twitter competition.
All eyes are however set on Louis Vuitton’s ‘merry-go-round’ shoe collection that will be staged at Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The launch theme for this collection is centered on love and romantic overtures. Most design elements of this style comprise shoes with double-toned pastel straps, see-through panels, delicate laces and tiny buttons. Some shoes in this category have been shaped to exhibit sharp pointed toes and metallic silver toe caps.

The character of Vuitton’s ‘Merry-Go-Round ‘collection is jacked up by the price it demands. To delight your feet in the Pump shoe with Calf Leather, be prepared to shell out any thing around US$1000. Tempted by the Alligator Jaune shoe style? Be ready to cough out US$9950! Still can’t resist; go for either the Patent Leather and Suede type for US$1460 or the mule in Patent Leather and Metallic Leather for US$1300!
Not to be left out, Stuart Weitzman has pumps being offered at retails for around $300. But, higher demands for high-end styles have pushed Weitzman to launch its exclusive SW1collection with prices close to $595 for satin or suede dress shoes.
